How VQ MilageTracker Works - BlackBerry Mileage Tracking App

VQ Mileage Tracker is the only Mileage Tracking application for Smartphones that AUTOMATICALLY tracks your mileage every time you drive your car.

You don’t have to do anything until you want to submit an Expense Report.

Then, at the press of a button, VQ Mileage Tracker emails you a report that shows your starting and ending address, start and end date/time for each trip, and miles (or km) driven for every trip. Just copy/paste the relevant information into your Expense Report and you’re done.

VQ Mileage Tracker can be used in AUTOMATED or SEMI-AUTOMATIC mode. When you are ready you can GENERATE A REPORT.

AUTOMATED MODE

VQ Mileage Tracker can AUTOMATICALLY track your mileage every time you drive your car. All you need to do this is in-vehicle Bluetooth or a VQ Bluetooth Car Charger. No in-vehicle Bluetooth? No problem. Use Semi-Automatic Mode.

To do this, VQ Mileage Tracker notes when you (and your Smartphone) are in range of your in-vehicle Bluetooth or VQ Bluetooth Car Charger. When you start your car, your Smartphone and your in-car Bluetooth automatically “connect” with one another.

When you first install VQ Mileage Tracker you’ll be prompted to select a Bluetooth device. At this point you can either:

(1)	select your in-vehicle Bluetooth,
(2)	select CarFinder BT (which will appear if you have a VQ Bluetooth Car Charger),
(3)	purchase a VQ Bluetooth Car Charger, or
(4)	select "No BT device" if you don't want to use a Bluetooth device. Click here for more details.

VQ Mileage Tracker AUTOMATICALLY senses the Bluetooth pairing when you start your car, then AUTOMATICALLY uses your Smartphone’s GPS to start tracking your location and the distance you have travelled.

When you turn off and leave your car, the Bluetooth connection terminates, at which point VQ Mileage Tracker AUTOMATICALLY records the distance you travelled, your route’s end address and the date/time.

In AUTOMATED mode, everything to this point occurs AUTOMATICALLY. You don't have to do anything.

When you want to prepare your expenses, just click Generate Report.

If you don’t have in-car Bluetooth or a VQ Bluetooth Car Charger you can use VQ Mileage Tracker in Semi-Automatic Mode.

SEMI-AUTOMATIC MODE

No in-vehicle Bluetooth? No problem. Just manually start VQ Mileage Tracker every time you are about to drive for business purposes.

To do this, when prompted to select a Bluetooth Device choose "No BT Device".

When you are about to drive for business just launch VQ Mileage Tracker and you’ll be asked "Start Tracking?". Click Yes

VQ Mileage Tracker will begin tracking your drive.

At the end of your drive launch VQ Mileage Tracker. You’ll be asked "End of Trip?". Click Yes.

VQ Mileage Tracker will record the distance you travelled, your route’s end address and the date/time.

GENERATE A REPORT

When you want to prepare an Expense Report, just launch VQ Mileage Tracker, click the Menu key, then click Generate Report

Select the Date Range you want for the Report.

VQ Mileage Tracker will email a report to you.
